Hei!

You’ve likely noticed that I have 1 – 2 students helping around. If you want to become one of the students who will help the next year’s class, I’m looking for new teaching assistants every year.

Who are we looking for?

  • I’m primarily looking for students who like to communicate and help others out
  • You need to have a decent skill in C programming language. Preferably you’ve completed both programming subjects with me.
  • Being able to speak multiple languages is a plus (classes are in Estonian and English).

How does it look like?

  • Mainly I’m looking for help in Programming I and II for both autumn and spring semesters. Classes take place according to the timetable. It’s possible to pick which classes suit you the best.
  • Main tasks are to help students during the classes, checking presented tasks for correctness and performing defense for the tasks presented.
  • For those of you with extra enthusiasm
    • You can have your own consultation / study group
    • You can mentor software project teams in the spring semester
    • You can also try some other subjects that I’m assisting with (e.g. software project, software engineering) or agree with another teacher to combine practice with their subject

What do I get?

  • Primary goal should be the experience, which you can enrich your studies with and later gain extra points on the job market.
  • For IACB and IACM students, 6 credits are available as teaching practice.
  • For students outside of the aforementioned curriculums, practice can usually be arranged. Ask your practice curators.
  • It’s possible to continue as a TA after practice.
